Rumor has it ... the carnival volunteer sporting this costume got very hot
& thirsty with this on his head, so a long tube was installed from under the head, down the arm and out the sleave. Apparently many beer mugs were emptied whenever "Duke" was visiting the Fraser Tavern at Carnival time. Nobody seemed
to mind losing their pints to "good ol' Duke the Toque" !
